Description

These online Taster Days are designed to offer a taste of what life as a Music student at the University of Cambridge would be like. Participants will experience some of the teaching methods used by university academics and gain an insight into just some of the huge range of skills, approaches, and topics that the study of music at University encompasses.

Following registration, participants will be sent links to two short pre-recorded lectures in advance of the Taster Day, together with an activity sheet related to the lectures. On the day itself, students will take part in two live, interactive 30-minute classes to explore the ideas presented in the lectures, and discuss the questions raised by the activity sheets. This is a great way not only to expand your knowledge and understanding of various aspects of music and musicology, but also to encourage you to develop your critical thinking skills, all in a friendly and supportive environment.

The two classes will be followed by a live talk and Q&A on Studying Music at Cambridge, with current staff and students who will be there to answer any questions you have
