This masterclass will give students the inside story on how to maximise attainment and prepare for a strong application to Physics, Maths and Engineering courses at university. The sessions will be interactive and this is not a “listening” but a “doing” event – students will solve live physics problems.

The event will also provide a sample taster university physics lecture on Diffraction and DNA.

The aims of the masterclass are to:

1. Give insight in to studying physics at university through lectures and live problem solving

2. Introduce free resources, that used regularly, will help with school exams and to prepare for interviews at research intensive (good) universities.

3. Provide information to year 12 students about applying to top universities and specifically about the Natural Sciences course at Cambridge
